Course Brief
BCA is precursor to MCA programme. BCA is full time three years (Six Semesters) graduate degree programme which is designed to develop techno-managerial capabilities. The programme covers all aspects and base of both management and technology. It also has projects for developing complete software in various software languages in real time environment. The programme prepares students to undertake advance master programs and for designing small business application software for the industries. Each semester contains a practical paper of 100 marks. The programme has the most appropriate blend of theory and practical applications of the underlying concepts enabling students to equip themselves to cater the challenging needs of the competitive industrial and business requirements. It offers job opportunities in web designing, software engineering, advanced internet technologies, artificial intelligence, Ethical hacking etc.
After completing BCA course, one can apply for job profiles like computer Programmer, Database Administrator, System Administrator or Computer Support Service Specialist in reputed IT companies like Infosys, Wipro, ITC Info Tech Limited etc. If BCA graduates want to widen their career prospects, they can also pursue Master level degree or Post Graduate Diploma courses like MCA, MBA in operations or MBA in Information Systems.
